THE ASSOCIATION ALTEA-ESPAÑA FOR THE INVESTIGATION AND TRAINING IN THE SOCIAL ACTION
is a non-profit organization, established in June 1996, in which main aims we can find:
- The permanent training of professionals and volunteers that practice their activities in distinct areas of the Social Action.
- The promotion of investigation lines that help to improve the quality of the services dedicated to this area.
Attending to these necessities, our activities are structured as following:
A.CONTINUOUS TRAINING
Permanent actualization of competences directed to professionals who work in the social intervention. We get their certification in cooperation and agreement with the University of Alicante.
B.LABOUR INSERTION
Courses and work-shops homologated by the “Consellería de Empleo” addressed to young people and students in difficulty.
C.INVESTIGATION
Projects of Investigation that belong to programmes of the European Union.
D.INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Activities of Cooperation for the Development.
E.OTHER PROGRAMMES
European seminars and work-shops of exchange of professionals.
F.OTHER ACTIVITIES
Organization of national and international seminars and conferences.
Aims:
- All the actions that allow the children, adolescents and youths, whatever their origins and conditions are, that suffer or that could suffer social discriminations, to become protagonists in the construction of Europe.
- The social and professional insertion of disfavoured and emarginated young people.
- The diffusion of a trend favourable to discriminated youths.
- The participation of the European residents in the active life of the country in which they are living.
- The training of the workers and volunteers of the social action.
- The investigation within the fieldwork of the social action and its publication and dissemination.
CONTINUOUS TRAINING
For the permanent training of professionals;
A) ACTIVITIES ADDRESSED TO PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS OF THE SOCIAL INTERVENTION.
BY AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE THEY ARE VALIDATED AS CREDITS OF FREE CONFIGURATION
- The Family Sheltering: modalitites and procedures.
- Psichological preparation of the professional that attends the elderly and stress control.
- The family mediation in processes of separation and divorce.
- Family sheltering: New challenges in front of new necessities.
- Sociocultural monitor.
- Project of taking decisions and detection in cases of maltreatment to the infancy.
- Design and advanced methology of projects of social and psicopedagogical intervention.
B) ACTIVITIES ADDRESSED TO THE STAFF OF THE ASSOCIATIONS WHICH ALTEA ESPAÑA HAS AN AGREEMENT OF TRAINING WITH.
GRANTED BY THE “CONSELLERIA DE EMPLEO” (MINISTRY OF WORK)
- The association Altea-España manages the Continuous Training of four associations of the Community of Valencia that assist various children in situation of social difficulty.
- Educator of infantile residences – Association Arcos de Altea.
- Integrated service of assistance to the family – Association Emaús.
- The educator of the minors’ centres: tasks, functions and competences. Fundación Relleu.
- Auxiliary of infirmary in geriatrics – Asociación Tercera Edad El Verdader.
C) ACTIVITIES ADDRESSED TO THE STAFF OF THE ASSOCIATIONS WHICH ALTEA ESPAÑA HAS AN AGREEMENT OF TRAINING WITH
FUNDACIÓN TRIPARTITA
With the publication of the Real Decree (1046/2003) in August 2003 that regulates the subsystem of Continuous Professional Training in Spain, it has begun a new model of management based on credits that allows the companies to plan and manage the training for their employees in a flexible way all year long without having to be subjected to the short periods that stipulate the annual calls.
Altea-España signed an Agreement of Companies Group with six entities that are dedicated to the social action of the Community of Valencia, in order to organize, manage and realize in a joined way the above training.
According to the necessities of the training stated by the directors, workers and syndical representatives of the six signatory entities of the agreement they have carried out the following courses:
- Control of quality applied to the management of the NGOs. July to September 2005.
- Systematic Intervention addressed to educators of Minors’ centres. July to September 2005.
- Planning / Action applied to the methodology of intervention with minors in Residential Centres. December 2005.
- Management of Groups of social entities. December 2004.
- English for the staff of assistance to foreigner residents in centres and services of the third age. December 2004.
- Computer science applied to the management of the NGOs. December 2004.
